What services do you offer?

I offer the following services, individually and combined into programs:

• Voice Lessons (30 minutes)
• Alexander Technique Lessons (30 and 45 minutes)
• Voice-Enhancing Bodywork Sessions (60 minutes)
• Expanded Voice Lessons (45 minutes) — a voice lesson augmented with AT or bodywork
• Coming soon: Small-Group Classes (90 minutes) — learn vocal technique or AT in groups of up to 4

What are the fees for individual sessions?

As well as combining to form the Art & Science of Singing, all three of my services are also available independently at the following rates:

Each lesson/session costs $5 less if you purchase a 10-pack.  Seniors and students with valid student ID may take $10 off the cost of any single lesson/session.

You may attend any 90-minute group class for $40. This price holds no matter how many participants (up to 4) show up for the class.  (At the discretion of the teacher, classes may run slightly longer or with fewer than 4 participants may be shortened to times not less than 3 students/60 minutes, 2 students/45 minutes, 1 student/30 minutes.)

Attend your first class for free!  (Minimum enrollment of 3 required for the class you choose.)

What are the fees for a complete Art & Science of Singing program?

Enrolling in a program combining all 3 services offered in the Art and Science of Singing will generate for you the most profound results.  My 3-in-1 approach normally entails coming for services more than once per week: to make this more affordable, I'll give you a frequency discount of $10 off any visit after the first one in a given week.  You are free to design your own customized program or simply choose from one of of the standard 4-week programs in the chart below.  (The $10 frequency discounts have already been figured into the fees shown.)

I recommend that newcomers to the Art & Science of Singing choose for their first month of study the most intensive standard program that fits their budget.  The fees shown in the chart are all for 4-week programs.  (After you and I have completed the first month of working together, we will design an individual continuation program for you.  Many students transition after the first month to a less intensive schedule with lower fees.):

Fees for your entire program are due at your first session.  You may split your payment into two installments, due at the first session of weeks 1 and 3, for an additional charge of $10.  Seniors and students with valid student ID receive a discount equal to $10 off each visit in the program of their choice.

How can I pay?

What if I can't afford your fees?  Do you have scholarships available?

My goal is to make my services available to as many qualified applicants as I can, without regard to ability to pay.  If because of your life situation you can not afford the full cost of enrolling in the Art & Science of Singing, you may apply for a need-based scholarship. 

Every month, I grant one student a scholarship equivalent to half the cost of any lesson or program taken in that month.  New students are given priority.  Higher-value scholarships may be granted in exceptional circumstances.

Do you offer trial sessions?

New students may sample a 30-minute voice lesson, Alexander lesson, or Voice-Enhancing Bodywork session for $45. 

All three services may be sampled in a combined 75-minute introductory session for $100.

Anyone may attend one 90-minute class for free! (enrollment minimums apply)
