How to Accelerate Your Learning Process

  • Read books on the Alexander Technique. (You might start with Body Learning by Michael Gelb.)
  • Arrange to take as many lessons a week as your schedule and finances permit — and commit to regular attendance.
  • Apply the principles to everyday activities: your walking, your personal care regimen, your chores, your practicing, your work-outs.
  • Keep a journal of your Alexander experiences.
  • Ask me questions when you come to your lessons and let me know what you are noticing and experiencing.
  • Commit to practicing the whispered [ah] and the constructive rest position every day. (You'll learn these procedures during your lessons.)
