How much do you charge for lessons?
A private lesson in my studio costs $75 for 45 minutes or $55 for 30 minutes. (If you prefer, I can come to you for lessons — to your home, workplace, gym, or performance venue. Please contact me for pricing.) Your lessons cost less if you purchase multiple-lesson packages:
| Master-Study Package | $700 | 10 45-minute lessons | $70 per lesson | Longer lessons to generate an increased depth of learning for the serious student. |
| Standard-Study Package | $500 | 10 30-minute lessons | $50 per lesson | My most popular plan for on-going study. |
| Month-Intensive Package | $540 | 12 30-minute lessons | $45 per lesson | 3 lessons per week for 4 weeks (recommended for beginners and anyone wishing to experience a month of the most profound results) |
Seniors and students with valid student ID may take 10% off the cost of any lesson or multiple-lesson package.
How much do you charge for short-term programs?
After you have read about the available programs, you can choose your desired series length (lessons are normally scheduled one per week):
| Gold Series | $540 | 6 60-minute lessons | $90 per lesson | Treat yourself or someone you care about to an opportunity for profound life change. |
| Silver Series | $300 | 3 60-minute lessons | $100 per lesson | A great way to explore the principles of the Alexander Technique with minimal commitment. |
| Gift Series | Contact me to purchase a program for a friend or family member. |
Seniors and students with valid student ID may take 10% off the cost of any program.
How can I pay?
You may pay for lessons in whatever form suits you:
- cash
- check
- credit/debit card (online through Paypal)
Please note: your Paypal payment must clear by the time of the first lesson for which you are paying.
What if I can't afford lessons?
If you don't have the resources to commit to a full course of instruction, consider one of the following less expensive options:
- Taking 30-minute lessons instead of 45-minute lessons.
- Taking lessons less often than once per week.
- Sharing lessons — and the cost — with a friend. (You each pay $40 per 45-minute shared lesson.)
Please contact me if you cannot afford full-cost lessons because of your financial situation. I reserve space in my weekly schedule for a limited number of free or reduced-cost lessons to help those in need.
What if I'm not sure the Alexander Technique is right for me? What does a sample lesson cost?
You may sample one 30-minute introductory lesson for $30. (New students only.)
